Dr. Rahal has 4 years of General Surgery residency, 3 years of Plastic Surgery residency, and has been operating in Beverly Hills for 2 years.
Dr. Rahal has performed hundreds of cosmetic breast procedures, like augmentations, lifts, and revisions. It’s his specialty. He averages 4-6 breast augmentations per week.

TRAINING & BOARD CERTIFICATION
The American Board of Plastic Surgery, founded in 1937, provides certification for qualified doctors. To qualify, a doctor must graduate from an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) approved program in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Rahal completed his plastic surgery residency at Montefiore Medical Center in New York, in 2015.
Dr. Rahal’s current status is Board Eligible. For a surgeon to be Board Certified, they must also pass two exams, each given one year apart. After the exams are passed, the surgeon is Board Certified. Dr. Rahal has passed the written exam and will be taking the final oral exam in November of 2017.

SURGERY CENTER ACCREDITATION
There are also organizations that accredit surgical facilities. There are the government-run Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities, or AAAASF. Paths to accreditation for both are rigorous.
To be AAAASF accredited, facilities must demonstrate 100 percent compliance with their high standards for patient safety. Dr. Rahal operates at Swall Surgery Center, which is AAAASF accredited, and at 90210 Surgery Medical Center, which is Medicare accredited.
In order for a surgeon to perform plastic surgery procedures at these facilities they must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in plastic surgery and hold privileges at a hospital.
