Dr. Rahal is passionate about giving back to the community through his philanthropic efforts.
One of them is EmpowHer Institute, a local Los Angeles based organization that provides girls in marginalized communities; helping them gain skills through education, training and mentorship to become confident, college and career ready. Dr. Rahal’s donation serves the STEM Initiative for middle school students to enrich their education through Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. He also awards one high school student with an annual college scholarship.
He also donates to Mentoring in Medicine, a national organization he has been involved in throughout his medical education and career. Mentoring in Medicine inspires and equips disadvantaged and low-income students to become health care professionals through academic enrichment, leadership development, civic engagement and mentoring programs to help them reach their true potential. This helps meet the nation’s healthcare and science needs by diversifying the biomedical workplace.
