How body feminization is done
The main procedure for body sculpting is 360 degree liposuction, or 360 Lipo, with fat transfer. Eight areas around the lower and upper back are liposuctioned to create smooth hourglass shape.

360 Lipo, breast augmentation with implants, fat transfer to the breast, fat transfer to the buttocks and hips/Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL). A BBL can appear smaller, natural, or dramatic, depending on what the patient wants.
Approval usually takes just 5 to 10 business days from the day you submit your information. You can submit your information today by filling out the form below then following the instructions in the confirmation email that you receive.
Dr. Rahal works with patients all over the United States. You can start by doing a virtual consultation. If you decide to move forward with surgery, you will have an in-person consultation the week of your surgery. You will want to plan to stay in Los Angeles for about 7 to 9 days following your surgery. Then you can take a flight or car trip home. Our staff is happy to recommend nearby hotels to stay at, or you can get an Airbnb.
You will either be able to return to your hotel the day of surgery or be required to stay at an aftercare facility for one night. Whether you need aftercare depends on your medical history and other factors, such as your BMI and how many procedures you are doing at once.
There is no age limitation. In terms of weight, this procedure can be done on petite patients or patients with BMIs up to 40. For petite patients, Dr. Rahal is very skilled at extracting fat. Only in extreme situations does Dr. Rahal suggest a patient gain a small amount of weight, 5 lbs or so.
Dr. Rahal points out that the answer to this question is about anatomy and applies to every patient he sees, not just transgender patients.
The approach to it is always the same. He takes out fat from 8 areas of the body in order to create smooth curves. He removes all the fat from the waist and many other parts of the body so that there is only skin left. Then he adds volume to the thighs, and buttocks if the patient wants. This creates a beautiful hourglass figure.
You want to plan your surgeries to be at least 3 to 4 months apart. Dr. Rahal will give you more guidance during your consultation.
What’s recovery like?
Plan for one week off. You will be fully recovered in about one month. It takes 3 to 6 months to see your final result. Results are permanent.
Is it painful?
Stronger pain will last for 1 to 3 days after surgery and milder pain will last for the remainder of the week. You will have medicine to tolerate this pain. Patients find the pain tolerable with the medicine. For some patients only Tylenol is enough even for the first days of recovery. Others use a stronger pain killer for the first 1 to 3 days.
How do I sleep or sit if I get a BBL?
For 360 Lipo and BBL, you will want to sleep on your stomach for the first two weeks after your surgery.
If you get a BBL and a breast procedure, you will want to sleep on your back but offset pressure on the buttocks at the same time. There are special inflatable beds available, or you can put pillows under your lower back and thighs so that there is no direct pressure on your buttocks.In terms of sitting, you will want to not sit directly on your buttocks for two weeks after surgery. You can use a BBL pillow during this time.
There’s a reasonable chance that your insurance will approve these procedures. This includes if you are under a parent or legal guardian’s insurance.
